Over Your Shoulder by C.J. Carver – Book Review

You love them both, but can you trust them?

Twelve years ago, Nick’s brother, Rob, drowned.  His body was never found. When Nick met Susie at his brother’s funeral, he thought it was destiny.

But when Rob suddenly re-appears, Nick is forced to examine everything he once knew. Why do the police want to talk to Rob? And what is he running away from?

Nick wants to find his brother but if he does, he risks losing the woman he loves. Because Susie has her own secrets, and as the truth emerges, Nick finds it is those closest to us we should fear the most…

CJ Carver - Over Your Shoulder_cover

Nick and Susie have a perfect life in Bosham,  he works in graphic design and Susie works in London. Susie stays in her flat in London a few days each week to save on commuting…..

There is a terrorist attack in London, and a mystery ‘hero’ saves people and it’s all over the news……Nick is stunned as he recognises the man…he’s Rob, his brother who he believed had died 12 years ago……then all hell breaks out…

Nick tries to find out more….he then gets involved with the police, a gangster known as the Saint and finds out Susie is actually an MI5 Agent….all looking for Rob for many different reasons….

This is an incredibly engaging thriller, with so much going on you just fly through it…..a real time thief of a book.

There’s lies, secrets, betrayals, drugs and thugs…..even spies. All leading to a brilliantly fraught finale…….you just never know who to trust!
