Evil Impulse by Leigh Russell – Book Review

PUBLISHERS BLURB

Living with her colleague and long time love interest, Detective Inspector Ian Peterson, it seems that Geraldine Steel has finally found happiness. But life is never that simple.

As a psychopath starts killing random women on the streets of York, Geraldine is abducted by a drugs syndicate who have been threatening her sister. Geraldine has everything to fight for, and her life is on the line…

MY REVIEW

Evil Impulse is #15 in the Geraldine Steel series and finally Geraldine and Ian are a couple….but only they know.

As always there’s a spanner in the works….

Here, York police are investigating a spate of women being murdered, all the while Geraldine is dealing with her sister and her problems,

This is a police procedural with a strong central character in Geraldine Steel, she’s committed to her job, but also to her family and personal life, so you get crime fiction and a family drama. It’s well paced with marvellously well rounded characters and a clever plot that make this another thriller of a read from Leigh Russell.
